#7: Jim Carrey
It is no secret that some actors prefer method acting to other methods when it comes to getting into character for an upcoming role. Whether they are performing as characters similar to themselves or someone drastically different, method acting can be an effective way to absorb all the necessary characteristics for a new role.
Well, when Jim Carrey was filming Man on the Moon, he had two different personas to perfect. When filming, Carrey chose to method act his entire way through filming, meaning he never took a break. Essentially, he was acting as Andy Kaufman and Kaufman’s alter-ego, Tony Clifton, throughout the duration of filming.
