We’re confident that this parent was sincere in his desire to inform his child that he had forgotten his cell phone at home. Unfortunately, we might become so enamored with our phones that we forget they are not ourselves. The average person spends nearly all of their waking hours (including sleep) glued to their phone. This is why, if we lose someone’s phone, our initial reaction is to call them to inform them.
Hopefully, the father realized his mistake and tried to contact his child in a different way. The alternative, in which the parent is unaware of his error, is simply too terrifying to contemplate.
