#42: Women Making History
Sports has always been considered a men’s field, a men’s hobby, and a men’s exclusive club. However, women can be just as good at sports as men – if not better – and some women are just as interested in sports as men (if not more). More and more women are becoming prominent in the different sports fields and they’re here to make a change.
31-year-old Alyssa Nakken is one of those inspiring women. She’s a baseball coach for the San Francisco Giants and the first female coach in the history of the NLB. In high school, she played softball, basketball, and volleyball and later worked for the San Francisco Giants as a health and wellness consultant, before being promoted to coach.
