Experience Needed
The most qualified babysitters have previous experience working with children. They may have younger siblings that they helped care for, or they may have more formal experience such as working in a kindergarten or assisting in a school. Either way, they have likely had some form of experience caring for younger children. These babysitters are able to perform tasks such as changing diapers, enforcing rules, and teaching children to respect their authority.
This tale comes from a babysitter with less experience who gave a child of four years old the responsibility of getting herself to the bathroom. We are sorry to say it, but we were prepared for that!
