Must Always Keep An Eye Out
When you are responsible for the care of another person’s child, you can’t help but worry that something terrible will occur to that child. It is important to make sure that you have all of your bases covered, even if you have a high level of confidence in your abilities. This is true even if you have a lot of confidence in yourself. Even if the child appears to be contently curled up on the couch with a book in hand, you can’t help but feel anxious that some unusual occurrence is about to take place.
This concerned babysitter had a fleeting moment in which she thought the child she was caring for had developed a serious illness. The fact that it turned out to be nothing more than a few packets of cherry Kool-Aid was a huge relief for us.
