We all face unanticipated problems now and then, especially parents. You wake up ready for work when you get the news that your child is sick and somebody has to stay home with them. Fortunately, it comes in handy to have family close by for these sorts of situations.
Family should be willing to help out whenever possible, but that doesn’t mean you should take advantage of them. If it would be easier for your kids to stay with their grandparents while you’re away, then maybe you shouldn’t try to make things more difficult.
