Simple Holiday Party Hacks for Moms

October 8, 2020 by Kristen Reed

If your kids are going to decorate cookies during the holiday party, then you’ll love this mom hack! Simply put all of that messy icing into various condiment containers so the kids can squeeze the icing out onto each cookie. This will reduce the mess involved with kids’ decorating cookies.

Use Goldfish Containers

Those little Goldfish cracker containers work great as a template for creating a gingerbread house. If you’re planning to make a gingerbread house as part of your décor for the holiday party this year, then grab up those old Goldfish containers so each child has a gingerbread house template to use.

Photo Booth Hack

It’s always fun to have a photo booth area during holiday parties, so why not enjoy this holiday party hack for moms; use wrapping paper for the backdrop. Gather up those old rolls of gift wrap paper and tape them up so that the kids can choose which backdrop to use during their photo booth session.

Pool Noodle Peppermint Sticks

This is by far one of the coolest mom hacks we’ve seen yet! Take your old pool noodles and paint them white, then wrap a thick red ribbon around them to create king-sized peppermint sticks. These will work fabulously as an added décor piece for your holiday party with kids.

Dollar Store Cups

Stop spending tons of cash on those holiday party favor bags! You can get a large container of dollar store cups for just one dollar and they work great for party favor “buckets”. Take one cup per child and fill it with holiday party goodies, complete it with a cute plastic wrap cover and ribbon to tie it shut.

Get Those Pinecones

Gather up the pinecones before winter hits and store them in a cool, dry space in the house. You’re going to use these pinecones to make Christmas trees for your holiday party activities for kids. You can paint each pinecone green, and glue pretend ornaments on it so it looks like a real holiday tree.

These are just some of our favorite holiday party hacks for moms to take advantage of this holiday party season. Finding new hacks to save time and money is always a win for parents all over the world. We hope you’ll use these hacks during your upcoming holiday party events!
