#8: Planned Obsolescence
This conspiracy theory is pretty easy to believe because most of us experience it first-hand. After you have had your smartphone for a few years, you notice that it doesn’t perform as fast as it used to. What’s up with that? No matter how many photos and apps you delete, your phone still acts clunky.
Your phone’s subpar performance is most likely not your fault. Most people believe that tech companies push updates that make older phones perform poorly. They bet on the fact that people will get so fed up that they buy a new smartphone instead of dealing with slow load times and constant crashes. It’s messed up, but it seems to work in their favor.
