Hindsight is 20/20, right? Sometimes, things become painfully clear only as we look back at our lives. Maybe it’s our increased maturity and wisdom that opens our eyes to things that should have been obvious, or maybe we just weren’t that bright when we were younger. Want to hear stories from people who have had experiences just like this? We have gathered stories from around the Internet where people share the things that they didn’t realize when they were younger but seem embarrassingly obvious now that they’re a little older. Read on and see if any of these things are new to you, too!
#1: No Kids Allowed
Many kids will believe pretty much anything an adult says. And why not? They’re still figuring out how the world works, so if an adult they trust tells them something, they will work that into their worldview. They’re so trusting, which is a trait I wish more adults had.
So if you think about it, being an adult around children is a pretty big responsibility; you don’t want to mess up your child, nephew, neighbor, or piano student too badly. Still, this is hilarious. I love that the writer noticed kids were allowed in restaurants, but instead of assuming he’d been lied to, he assumed that there had been a universal rule change.
