Split-Level Yards Can Be Beautiful Too
Often, people become discouraged when their yard isn’t flat or gently sloping, but a stepped yard can be more aesthetic and beautiful than one that stretches flat. Use stairs and a retaining wall to get the effect you want, and add pavers to guide guests throughout. You can hide the retaining wall with vines and shrubs or add additional dirt along each side for other plants.
Be sure to maximize the usage of the upper level. Adding a sitting area, life-sized chess or checkers, or something fun can give your yard the boost you’re looking for when it comes to entertaining. You can even install a pergola at the top of the stairs to make it more inviting.
