Random Acts of Kindness Ideas for Teachers

February 15, 2020 by MamaBee

Not everyone thinks about how much hard work goes into the daily life of a teacher. These people are in a room with your children all day long trying to educate them.

The world of teaching has gone south for many public schools, but the teachers still have a heart of gold.

Today I wanted to focus on some ideas that help you spread kindness to your child’s teacher. These are some simple acts of kindness you can do to show your child’s teacher that you’re grateful for them.

Since many teachers work more hours than their salary justifies, these random kindness ideas will brighten any teacher’s day.

Random Acts of Kindness Ideas for Teachers

Make a Handwritten Thank You Note

Teachers may not get the appreciation they deserve, that’s why I think making a handwritten thank you note will be a wonderful random act of kindness for teachers. Sit down and write thank you notes for each of your child’s teachers and hand deliver the note to the school.

Make a Teacher’s Lounge Gift Basket

Put together a bunch of teacher’s goodies in a gift basket that can be placed in the teacher’s lounge at your child’s school. You can put some snacks, bottled water, coffee grinds, and other treats that may help boost a teacher’s mood during their busy day.

Volunteer Your Time

Ask your child’s teacher if they have any need for assistance in the classroom or with a special event. Many teachers are handling a lot of students during their busy school day so having a parent volunteer in the classroom will help reduce the stress involved with tending to a large classroom of students.

Donate Books and Supplies

You may have seen a note come home from your child’s teacher asking for specific supplies for the classroom. Many teachers spend their own money on classroom supplies, so it’s a good idea to donate books and supplies to your child’s teacher throughout the year as a random act of kindness.

These are just a few ways you can work to share kindness with your child’s teacher all year round. Remember that teachers work hard for little pay and deserve to be celebrated throughout the school year.

These simple acts of kindness for your child’s teacher will go a long way in helping to boost the morale of teachers within the school that your child attends.
