May 27, 2021 by jessica Creger

As a working mom, you know all too well that the weekend flies right by. Today we wanted to help you with maximizing your weekend. The time on the weekend can be used to enjoy the life you work hard to support.

We just have to share some of the best tips and tricks that will help any working mom maximize their time during the weekend. Below you’ll find our tried and true ways to make the most of your two-day weekend so that you can head back to work on Monday feeling rejuvenated.

Write Down What a Great Weekend Is

You’ll first need to know what a great weekend looks like for you. Write down the way you feel the weekend should flow if you have nothing to do and only fun on the brain. This will help you to maximize the weekend as a working mom because it gives you a visual goal to attain.

Shut Down Work Contact

Since it’s the weekend you don’t need to be answering phone calls or emails from work-related contacts. Shut down or mute those who may contact you about work so that you’re not tempted to communicate with anyone about work-related projects or such.

Get Ample Sleep

You’ll want to feel awake and present during each moment of the weekend. This means setting yourself up with a strict bedtime and wake-up time. Allowing yourself to get at least eight hours of sleep each night and wake up earlier enough to enjoy the day will ensure you maximize your weekend!

Write a Schedule

Don’t forget to write a schedule for the weekend. Having a schedule written down will ensure that you’re more apt to stick with maximizing the weekend hours. Let your family take part in creating the weekend schedule so that you can enjoy activities that everyone will have fun doing!

Say No

Don’t forget to say no to any extra activities that make you feel tense when someone mentions them. The whole point in being a working mom that knows how to maximize their weekend is learning to say no to things that quite simply don’t feel right!

Finding new ways to maximize your weekend after a long week of working to support the family is an essential part of living a more balanced lifestyle. Don’t underestimate the power of a well-thought out and planned weekend of quality time with your loved ones!

You need to use these tips as a guiding light for you to get up, get active and present with your family whenever the weekend arrives!
