Bring Pain Relief, Just in Case
It may seem obvious, but surprisingly, many parents forget that children can experience pains that usual methods can’t soothe. The last thing you’d want is to hear, after the plane finally takes off, that your kid is going through intense pain that will keep them—and everyone on the plane—awake.

Remember to include some of the kid’s medications, such as Advil Drops or other remedies to alleviate pain when packing your carry-on. Check in advance which medications are allowed on a plane to avoid any issues with TSA questioning your choices.
