An Elementary School Classic
If you are a child of the 90s, you will immediately recognize this little piece of nostalgia. This Plastic braiding string was everywhere in the 90s. For some reason, every kid made at least one lanyard, bracelet, or keychain with this brightly-colored PVC string. It was a badge of honor if you knew how to create elaborate braids and killer color combinations.
What the heck ever happened to these? Why did they fall by the wayside? We’re not sure if the youths of today would consider these things to be “cool,” but we’re still all about them. Many stores still sell lanyard-making kits with similar-looking string, so maybe it’s making a comeback. One can hope!
