Another day, another acronym. We never realized so many words in our language are actually acronyms, and we’re talking about everyday words, words we use on a daily basis. This Twitter user was shocked to find out the word news is comprised of the phrase “notable events, weather and sports” and that’s indeed what we find in a newspaper.
What was even more shocking was the realization that it took him so long to learn this. To be honest, this isn’t news for us – we’ve known this for a long time. That’s not to say we don’t appreciate him sharing his information online – he might have brightened someone’s day.
