#20: The Different Ways the Word ‘Crayon’ is Pronounced Across America
When it comes to accents and the different ways people pronounce certain words, these associations usually come with people that don’t live in the same country as you. But when you live in a country as large and with such a vast population as America, different accents are bound to be created.
You might not think that a word like crayon could divide a nation, but apparently, it can. An overwhelming amount of people pronounce it “cray-ahn” along the east coast of the country, whilst the rest of the country seems to stick with pronouncing it “cray-awn”.
