These Maps Portray the U.S. More Accurately Than Anything We Learned in School

In America, sports teams are a very big deal. Not only do they mean a lot in the public sector, but the obsession starts early on in high school and then into college where many people progress into being star athletes. So it only makes sense that every U.S. state has a lot of sports teams.

California has 19 major league sports teams, which when you think about it is a lot. Florida and Texas tie with 10 major sports teams, whilst New York comes in 4th place with 9 major sports teams. Again, it doesn’t come as much surprise that these major states have so many successful sports teams.
