13. Good Thing We Have DNA
DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is a molecule found in every cell of your body. It’s like a long, twisted ladder, with each rung made up of smaller units called nucleotides. These nucleotides contain four different chemical bases. The order of these bases along the DNA strand forms a code, similar to the letters in a book, that contains instructions for building and maintaining your body.
They are critical to the ability of your body to function, and if you were to unravel them fully, the length would be so immense due to the millions of years of code written into it by our ancestors.
