For a long time, many people have doubted women’s ability, tenacity, and drive. And although there are still many people that do, in 2023 we can say that not only are women more than capable of creating their own destiny, they have also been given wider support. It almost feels as though women were lurking in the shadows behind men ever since the beginning of time, but this is no longer the reality. Women and men exist in the world as equals that can lead the lives that they want to lead. More importantly, women need to stand by other women and instead of tearing each other down, build each other up, because that’s what it means to be part of a sisterhood.

Why do people love saying “Why don’t you just act your age” when someone does anything slightly out of character? We all live such rigid and straightforward lives that perhaps it is a good thing if we all just acted a little bit more silly from time to time.
We think grandma over here heard us loud and clear! There is nothing more exhilarating than doing something that other people either won’t approve of or will think is inappropriate. Turning 90 is a milestone, so why celebrate it with a cake, when you can get yourself a pink mohawk?
