One of the Top Students in Both of Their Classes
I don’t understand why some students think they have to show that they are smarter than their classmates. Who cares if one senior aced the English test or another? When you’re a teenager, things like popularity polls and grade point averages might seem important, but once you get a job, you’ll quickly realize how meaningless these numbers are.
They have no effect at all on the kind of adult you will become. If you spend too much time worrying about your grades and trying to beat your classmates, you won’t improve your chances of getting a good job as an adult, but you will make sure that you have a terrible time in high school.
