Strike me a pose/I just can’t figure him out/He likes to hold his feet as he sleeps
This dog is undoubtedly dreaming of competing in the Olympics gymnastics. What appears to be an unpleasant posture for a dog is, surprisingly, a sign of great comfort and serenity.
Dogs spend the majority of their lives sleeping in strange postures. Side sleepers, flat-out with limbs outstretched, doughnut sleepers, belly-up position, and lion pose are just a few examples. Each posture has its meaning; for example, being belly up indicates that the creature feels safe and comfortable in its environment. Dogs have a difficult time keeping their eyes open after hours of activity. They just can’t keep their eyes open, and they soon fall asleep.
