#42: Look, Bubbly Clouds!
Although “bubbly clouds” seems appropriate for these fluffy, bubble-shaped clouds, it’s not their official name. These clouds do have a scientific name; this unique cloud pattern is known as Mammatus clouds (look it up if you don’t believe us!). Apparently, it’s a pretty rare occurrence.
The name describes a phenomenon where clouds form pouches hanging underneath the base of the cloud, that look a lot like bubbles. How amazing is that? We’ve never heard of this phenomenon before, let alone seen it. I guess you learn something new every day.
