Confusing Perspectives That Will Make You Do A Double Take

November 22, 2012 by Jade Parker

Our eyes are one of our most important pairs of body parts. They give us the gift of sight and allow us to explore and experience the world around us. We’re in control, guiding them wherever we want to glance, yet they manage to deceive us all the time (traitors!). We’re not talking about heavy-handed Photoshop trickery but the confusing perspectives that take place in the real world, sending our eyes and minds into a tailspin trying to figure out what we’re looking at. Today we’re showcasing some of our favorite confusing perspectives shared by Redditors who wondered if the internet would be as bewildered as they were when they caught them on camera. Can you figure out what made these images look so perplexing, or are you already on the phone booking an appointment with your eye doctor? Better grab an appointment with the chiropractor for the whiplash from all the double takes you’ll be doing too.

Getting Them On The Gram Early

Kids get their first cell phone on average at around 12 to 13 years old, but they’ve been begging to play games on our phones with their sticky fingers since their days in a highchair. There are elementary school kids know their way around an iPad better than most adults, so it’s no surprise to see a little one zoning out with some screen time.

It’s the huge man arms combined with a tiny head that are throwing us off. Did this little girl build up all that muscle holding up the phone for hours at a time, or do these arms belong to a full-grown adult in a conveniently comedic position on the sofa?
