Sobering Thoughts
For a country that once banned alcohol completely, the number of people in the United States who drink is higher than you might think. In fact, Gallup Inc claims that in 2021, 60% of American adults regularly consumed alcohol. However, this represents a clear fall from 65% two years prior.
Those who drink usually have an average of three drinks every week. In comparison, around 30% of adult Americans are teetotal, which means that they don’t drink at all. I wonder how many bankers regularly drink – sadly, there haven’t been any studies that investigate this. Maybe they should check it out!
