#28: Stranger Danger
As kids, our parents always warn us against talking to strangers or taking candy from strangers, but that’s easier said than done. Unfortunately, kids are often naive and trusting, and they’re easily fooled by strangers. This girl recalls having a very strong gut feeling that something wasn’t right when she was just a little girl.
When a group of strangers in the park offered her toys and candy and tried to coax her into their van, she got a “tummy ache” – which today she knows was a gut feeling – and felt something wrong. Luckily, her dad was around, and she was able to scream and run back to him. A couple of years later, she found out that other kids weren’t so lucky…
