Chipped Away

Excess moisture in the column causes the materials to expand, which can then tear away at the dried adhesive keeping the whole thing together. Thankfully, the homeowner can touch up the foundation and add a waterproof sealant.

What’s going to happen when changes in pressure cause more of the pillar to shed its concrete coating? We don’t know, and we don’t want to stick around to find out.
