#2 – Courtney Act
This self-proclaimed Australian “cultural provocateur” has taken drag to a whole new level. From Courtney’s gorgeously natural looks to her amazing voice, she’s wowed fans all over the world for nearly two decades. Starting out as one of the first openly LGBTQ+ contestants to ever grace a reality talent show, she performed on Australian Idol in full drag after winning the Diva Rising Star competition in 2002.
Since then, her claim to fame has skyrocketed. She placed runner-up in the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2014, has worked with prominent music stars such as Lady Gaga and Bono, and has participated in several American and Australian reality shows. Her newest project, announced in 2021, is as an interview host for Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Courtney Act’s One Plus One.
