#21 Writing on Bananas
The question of whether or not there was anything Meghan did that could not be criticized was put to the test, and the results showed that there was. This year, she went to see the women at the One25 charity that works to break them out of the cycle of poverty and homelessness. Meghan, while packing care packages, declared herself “in charge of the banana messaging,” writing encouraging messages like “You are loved” on the food boxes. Odd, but not really significant enough to cause alarm.
We assumed as much, but the Sun found a woman who claimed it was “offensive” that Meghan had “gifted them some words on a piece of fruit.” Piers Morgan added fuel to the fire by saying it was the “most patronizing thing (he) has ever seen.” Why do people care what Piers says, anyway?
