People Who Made Unexpected and Successful Power Moves

April 5, 2010 by Kristen Reed

Pulling a Ron Swanson

We often sympathize and are inspired by characters we see on TV; even though they aren’t real people, doesn’t mean they can’t be inspiring and pull legitimate power moves. The character of Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation is a prime example. He has one particular boss move that caught this guy’s attention.

Whenever someone gets too friendly with him, and Swanson doesn’t feel the same way about this person, he intentionally calls him by the wrong name. This sends the message of how he feels about this person and puts them in their place. This is an absolute power move that we could all learn from!
