Not My Job
There seems to be a misunderstanding between the landlord and his tenant. The tenant thinks it’s their landlord’s job to clean the driveway, while the landlord disagrees. Well, who’s job is it? The tenants are the ones living there, but the landlord should take care of the house and its maintenance. However, would they ask the landlord to wash their floors as well?
This argument is probably more about the principle, since the job can be done in two minutes, as the landlord pointed out. Landlords can be hard to deal with at times, but as this exchange shows, tenants can also be a piece of work, especially when they feel entitled and think the landlord is there to serve their every need and whim.
