Why Do Flights in the Middle East Take Off at Midnight?
It’s difficult to answer this question, and there are a few ways to approach it. Hot air isn’t as thick as cold air. In the middle east during the day, hot air prevents the plane from flying as quickly and freely as it would in colder conditions.
To avoid this, planes depart at midnight when the air is chilly and dense. Of course, the new aircraft design was created to overcome this. Nonetheless, many airlines have continued to utilize night flights as a matter of habit.
