Have you ever thought about how crazy it would be to set a world record? Not only are you great at something, but you’re the best. At least, you’re the best until someone breaks your record, which could be several decades later.

Here, we see a picture of Karsten Warholm’s face after he had just completed a 400-meter hurdle run. After all that training, he didn’t just come in first place—he set a world record. During the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, he had completed the hurdle run in just 46.70 seconds, beating Kevin Young’s record back in 1992. But it gets better. During the next run, he beat his world record by 0.76 seconds, recording a 45.94-second.
