Like some other films on this list, Beauty and the Beast already has a live-action adaptation featuring Emma Watson. Even with new scenes that broadened the canon of Belle’s story, the movie was quite family-friendly. We can’t help but wonder what a grittier Beauty and the Beast might look like when we look at the image below.

We loved her as Daenerys in Game of Thrones, and we’re sure you did too. Emilia Clarke is obviously very stunning, but she could also portray Belle’s sensibilities and nuances masterfully. It would be tempting to go off the rails of the traditional story and explore a darker world like that of Westeros.
