The Sentimental Stealer
According to an article by the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, “It is normal for a very young child to take something which excites his or her interest. This should not be regarded as stealing until the youngster is old enough, usually three to five years old, to understand that taking something which belongs to another person is wrong.”
We don’t know how old u/musicpsychlife was when they developed sentimentally sticky fingers, but we’re sure Josh has probably written somewhere on Reddit about how his nice necklace coincidentally disappeared when he was hanging out with someone he thought was a friend. At least it wasn’t something creepy like a lock of hair or a used tissue.
