8th Place – New Hampshire
New Hampshire is a bit of a paradox when it comes to their educational system. On the one hand, they are one of the most highly educated states, ranking in the top ten for educational attainment. However, when it comes to the quality of their education, they rank much lower, at number 20.
In terms of good news, the state can proudly boast that it provides equal educational opportunities to all of its citizens, with the fifth-lowest disparity in educational attainment in the nation. Additionally, the state has the second-highest percentage of residents holding high school diplomas.
