Diversity of America
Although English is the first official language of the United States, with Spanish being a close second, America is so diverse that many states have a third language that is spoken by many of their locals. After viewing this map, we now know that German is more heavily spoken in the US than we thought.
French is another well-known language, especially on the East Coast. This may be the result of the American Dream, which is the belief that anyone, regardless of where they were born or what class they were born into, can become successful. As a result, many immigrants settled in the United States, which may be why so many languages are spoken in one country.
