As you undoubtedly already know, MCU filmmakers love placing easter eggs everywhere. There are some that are blatantly obvious, while others require a deep understanding of the comic books. Today, we’re going to look at the hidden details in relation to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man. Some of these easter eggs were discovered several years after the films’ release!

Finally Got to Try Shawarma
If you stuck around during The Avengers post-credit scenes (of course you did!), then you saw Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, the Hulk, and Iron Man sitting at a shawarma shop, enjoying the Arabic cone-shaped delicacy. It was a pretty weird scene with only the sound of chewing.
That scene was inspired by the RDJ’s ingenious ad-libbing skills. After nearly losing his fight to Chitauri, he tells the other Avengers that there’s a shawarma joint only two blocks away. If you paid close attention, you would’ve seen the shop he was referring to during the fight scene. Shoutout to all the shawarma-loving peeps out there!
