Most people know Iron Man as the superhero who wears a red-and-yellow mechanical suit. But what many people don’t realize is that his first suit, the Mark 1, wasn’t red and yellow at all. In fact, it looked like a primitive version of his modern suit minus the color and several hundred pounds heavier.

The filmmakers of 2008’s Iron Man included the original Mark 1 suit in one of the earlier scenes. And we have to say that the costume designers did a fantastic job. Just look at how closely it resembles the Mark 1 in the comics! Bravo, costume director!
