There isn’t a love story in the MCU that left a deep impression on us as much as Tony and Pepper’s. To be fair, it had the longest amount of airtime to develop, starting from when Pepper was a gofer to finally becoming the CEO. The scene that describes their relationship the best takes place in Iron Man 3.

During the epilogue scene, we see Tony going under the knife to extract a piece of shrapnel from his chest. In the next scene, Tony gives a custom-made necklace to Pepper, which was actually crafted from the piece of shrapnel that the doctors took out of his body.
