Are you absolutely, positively sure you know how to brush your teeth, wash your hair, or even make toast? You might be snickering and thinking, “What do you mean? Of course, I do! I do these things every day!” Well, today, we’re going to flip your world upside down as we go through everyday items that seem like no-brainers and show you how you’ve been using them wrong the whole time. We’ll also go over items that have left you scratching your head and wondering what the heck they were for in the first place. The way you’ve been using these things might work fine, but once you know how to use them the right way, you’ll never go back. Don’t facepalm yourself too hard. You’re not a dingus; you’re just doing it wrong.

Give It A Rest
You’re out at a nice restaurant and have done your adultly duty of eating your veggies before cutting into that mouthwatering steak. Your date laughs, you laugh. It’s all a good time until you realize bits of your dinner are wedged between your teeth. Time to whip out that toothpick!

You might have noticed that some toothpicks have grooves at one end with the picker on the other. The notches are more than a style choice by the manufacturer. Snapping the toothpick at the lower indentation gives you handy a toothpick rest, allowing you to set it on the table without picking up extra germs in between fishing the spinach and steak out of your teeth.
