Debunking The Beauty Blender
Walk into any makeup store or down any cosmetics aisle, and you’ll find tons of different tools for applying foundation. Beauty blenders quickly rose in popularity because their shape plays well with the contours in our face, and their texture creates a photo filter finish. But are we even using them correctly?
It’s tempting to squirt a few pumps onto the sponge and smear our way to full coverage, but makeup artists plead with us to stop. Like a dish sponge, it needs a little moisture to do its job. Add just enough water to dampen it. Then add your product and tap it into the skin with the beauty blender for a nice, even finish.
