Buying in bulk is, most of the time, an excellent way to save in the long run. It’s good to use math when we do bulk shopping, though. We tend to concentrate so much on the price itself, and we forget to analyze how much we get for our money.
Let’s do some math: at many big stores, you can buy a package of 20 14-piece packs of Orbit gum for $11.49. That’s cheaper than the $1 four-pack at the dollar stores if you calculate the price per one piece of gum.
