Medical Service
The ship’s doctor has a specific area on board the boat dedicated to him or her, which is usually located in the stern. The phrase “doctor,” on the other hand, might be deceptive. On some submarines, a senior corpsman serves as the medical authority onboard ship, but only after going through an extremely rigorous training regimen.
Their task is to maintain the well-being of the ship’s personnel. They handle everything from small injuries to more complicated medical issues, some of which might need surgery.
