Seven Months, 20 Days, 23 Hours
“This is my first step after seven months, 20 days, and 23 hours,” one person reveals. In the picture below, you can see him walking with the aid of a physical therapist. They’re sporting crutches and a metal leg. Nearly eight months without walking is quite a long time, so he must be feeling quite grateful at the moment.
Our hats are off to this immensely courageous soul for taking those first steps amid the undeniable pain and hardship of recovering from what was, presumably, a terrible accident. It takes a ton of bravery and utter tenacity to move past something as life-altering as an accident wherein you lose a limb, and emerge victoriously.
