You’d think Rita Repula was signing their paychecks, but she was probably getting the same dirty deal as none of the main cast had agents to ensure they had decent contracts and it was a non-unionized gig.
Salt was rubbed in their financial wounds when their contracts failed to include residuals; you know the nice little padding most actors get in their wallets when reruns air? To put it plainly, the Power Rangers cast was so broke that red ranger actor Austin St. John wound up living in his car for a while and the others seriously worried about their financial futures.
