13. “Woah!”
Long before she stole Sheldon’s heart on The Big Bang Theory, Mayim Bialik starred in Blossom as the title character. The show was so successful you’d have thought it was made exactly as intended, but creator Don Reo had a different story in mind when he took his plans to NBC.
Blossom was born as Richie, a sitcom about a teenage boy who resembled The Catcher in the Rye’s Holden Caulfield with a super chill dad. NBC liked the Caulfield angle but wanted to apply it to a female lead instead, making Bialik the star of the show. The rest is history.
