The Royal Economic Society Funded The Show’s Big Wheel Research
Perhaps the best moment on “The Price Is Right” is when people come up to spin the big wheel. The wheel decides a lot and can make or break it for some contestants. Apparently, the Royal Economic Society found the wheel interesting and wanted to research it.
Therefore, they funded a study that checked the winning percentage and what choices people tend to make. The found that people tended to make decisions opposite their gut feeling. The stress of being on the show makes people distrust their instincts and make rash decisions.
