Joe Davola, or Crazy Joe Davola, as he’s often known among the gang, is another mysterious character. When we first meet him, he seems like a normal person and Jerry even invites him to Kramer’s party. At one point, no one knows why; they start referring to him as Crazy Joe Davola and fearing him. He embraces this role fully.

We know he has this obsession with the Opera, and in one episode, we see him putting on clown makeup, not unlike that of the Joker – save the creepy smile from ear to ear. In a sense, Joe Davola is the Joker of Seinfeld (although there are multiple villains throughout the show). It’s not surprising, considering Jerry is into superheroes.
