Open Sesame
The story of “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” is a childhood classic for many of us, which coined the magical phrase “open sesame.” The phrase is often associated with sesame seeds, which break open when they are fully grown. However, this Twitter user has another theory regarding those magic words.
According to him, the phrase isn’t “open Sesame,” like we thought as children, but “open says me.” The magic word isn’t some random, funny word, but a perfectly logical request – “open says me.” We’re not sure which explanation is correct, but we like how this person thinks.
