Miss Saigon
In 1975, this mother fled Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War. She was able to immigrate to America and by the nineties, she joined the United States Air Force. It is easy to see why the child or children of this mother would be proud to tell her story. Considering what she escaped and
what she accomplished after doing so, I believe that she is a truly remarkable person. The strength and courage it took to do what she did is incredible and should be recognized. There aren’t many people who would be able to do the same thing if they had been in her shoes. Taking a risk gave her and their family a chance at a better life.
